When a fire breaks out in a high-rise building, smoke can fill the building in minutes. What should we do to stay safe?

The fire is above your floor:
Take the stairs to get out of the building. Never use the lifts(电梯). A lift may stop working at any time. Don’t waste time taking expensive things.
The fire is on your floor:
Open the door and you find the corridor(走廊) is clear.→Leave right away.
The corridor is smoky.→Close the door and stay inside. Put a wet quilt(被子) at the foot of the door. Wait for help.
The fire is inside your own home:
Leave and go downstairs.
Fire blocks(堵住;挡住) the way out.→Go into a room with windows. Then close the door, cover gaps and wait for help.
The fire is below your floor:
Open the door. And heavy smoke comes in.→Stay inside.
The corridor is clear, but the staircase(楼梯通道) is smoky.→Stay inside.
Both the corridor and the staircase are clear.→Leave and go downstairs.
