A father and his daughter are playing outside. The little girl sees an apple store and asks her father to buy her some apples. The father doesn't have a lot of money, but he has enough to get a few. So, he buys two apples for his daughter. The daughter holds one apple in each hand. Her father then asks if she could share one with him. Without thinking twice, the girl takes a bite(咬一口) from each apple before her father could even say a word.
The father is surprised but his smile is soon gone. He starts to think if he is somehow wrong to teach his daughter about sharing. He feels a little sad, thinking, “Maybe she is too young to understand these things.”
But then, his daughter, holding one apple, says,“Dad, you can have this one. It’s the juicier(更多汁的) and sweeter one.” Hearing that, the father couldn’t say a word. He feels bad for thinking of his daughter that way. His smile comes back at once.
