Our litter picker
We want to solve the problem of litter on the ground. Sometimes it's hard to pick up rubbish with our hands, especially when it's under desks or in small corners. So we decide to make a litter picker.
First, we collect some materials: ice cream sticks, bottle caps, string and glue. Next, we use scissors(剪刀) to cut the ice cream sticks into two long arms. Then, we glue bottle caps to the ends of the sticks. The bottle caps will work like “hands” to hold the rubbish. Finally, we tie the two sticks together with string, so they can open and close like scissors.
Our litter picker is easy to use. We don’t need to bend down or touch dirty rubbish. It helps keep our classroom and the playground clean. We are very proud of our small invention.
