Riste was a giraffe keeper. He was calm. He loved his job very much. For twelve years, he took good care of a giraffe named Flopi.
Day after day, Riste looked after Flopi patiently. He was never impatient (不耐烦的) or careless. As time went by, Flopi felt safe around him and trusted (信任) him deeply.
To most visitors, they were just a keeper and an animal. However, they had a special relationship built on trust and patience.
Sadly, one early morning, Riste passed away (去世). *Flopi was so sad that it refused to eat or drink for a long time. In the end, it passed away too.
