Did you hear of "soft skills" before? To be honest, they're abilities that are not taught in school. However, to be truly happy and successful, you need to develop soft skills. Here are some of them.
Understand the power of non-language communication. If you have watched a nature programme, you've probably seen how some animals communicate. For example, a wolf can control(控制) its young just by using a different look in its eyes. While humans have the ability to speak, about 55% of our face-to-face communication actually is made up of body language.
Know how to make others laugh. I'm sure with your friends and family you have a great sense of humour. However, how about at work or when you meet strangers? Break free, and add humour to your actions. Then your personal happiness will rise.
Respect others. This soft skill seems to be going out of fashion at present. Too many people have become self-centred(自我为中心), and put their own hopes above the needs of other people. Please make sure you respect all those you connect with. Interestingly, by respecting others, you'll find they respect you more in return.
Have persuasive(令人信服的) power. This isn't some kind of superheroes' power. It's an ability that many people have developed. If you learn to communicate persuasively, you will go far.
