2026年课堂作业武汉出版社七年级英语下册人教版第137页答案
C
Wu Zeyin is an 11-year-old student from Hubei, China. But now he lives in Botswana with his family. They moved there seven years ago. Recently, Wu did something amazing—he created a mobile App to help local farmers grow better crops(作物)!
When Wu first came to Botswana, he noticed a problem: Local farmers had difficulty growing good vegetables. The carrots were not big enough, and the tomatoes always stayed green. Why? Botswana has short growing seasons, so it can't grow many crops on its own—most food has to be bought from other countries, like South Africa.
Then last year, China sent water-saving rice to Botswana, and it grew really well! This gave Wu an idea.
Wu's App helps the farmers a lot. It works with eight common crops (like tomatoes, potatoes, and corn). The App shows them exactly what to do: How much water to use, when the crop will ripen(成熟), how much the seeds(种子) cost, and even how much they can sell the crops for. After planting, the App also reminds farmers what steps to take next.
Wu loves the old Chinese saying: "Give a man a fish, and he'll eat for a day; teach a man to fish, and he'll eat for a lifetime." That's why he made the App—to give farmers the skills to grow food well forever. Isn't that cool?
