The family is very important to everyone. A strong family can help people feel good. It can also help people make a good world. Today both parents and children are busy, so they spend only a little time together every day. To let people know the family is everything, the UN General Assembly(联合国大会) started International Day of Families(国际家庭日) in 1994. International Day of Families is on May 15th every year.
On International Day of Families, people don't go to work and children don't go to school. In many places, people have the day with their family members. Together, they do a lot of things. Family members enjoy a big dinner together and have a good talk. It is also a time to talk about family problems. They often talk about today, the past or the future. It's the best day to have fun with each other. It's also a good day to stay in touch with their family members. They try every possible way to save the happy family time.
