Our school held a meaningful activity last week to remember great heroes and learn from their spirits. The activity took place on the playground in our school on Friday morning, and all the students and teachers took part in it.
First, our headmaster gave a short speech. She introduced several great heroes. She told us that these heroes devoted their whole lives to our country and people. She encouraged us to learn a lot from heroes, spare no effort to study hard and serve our motherland in the future.
Then, we visited and learned about the brief introductions of heroes. One student said, “These heroes are my role models. I will learn from their courage and love for our country.” Another student added, “I want to study hard now so that I can make contributions to our country in the future, just like the heroes.”
At the end of the activity, our English teacher asked us to write a short passage about the heroes we like most. We all wrote down our thoughts and feelings. This activity was really unforgettable. It let us know more about great heroes and inspired us to learn from them. We believe that we can become better people and make our country stronger in the future.
