Do you want to have some tasty ice cream? Without using a fridge, you can try making it by yourself at home. It is much easier than you may think. Just “shake” your way to it!
What you will need
Two small plastic bags, one big plastic bag, ice cubes, a towel, salt, milk, sugar, cream.
Step by step
1. Put the cream, milk and sugar in one small plastic bag. Slowly seal the bag to let as much air out as possible.
2. Put this bag inside the second small bag. Seal it again. Using two bags can keep the mix from spilling on other things.

3. Put the two-bagged mix into the big plastic bag. Add the ice and salt to the big bag. Seal it well.
4. Hold the bag with a towel. Shake and rub the bag. Keep doing this for 5 to 8 minutes. Then open the bag and enjoy your ice cream!
Top tip
Salt makes the ice even cooler. So the milk mix is cold enough to freeze.
Science behind shaking
Milk contains fat, protein and water. If you put the mix in the freezer, the water separates and turns into large chunks of ice(冰块). This makes it hard to get creamy ice cream. But when you shake and rub milk, water can stay inside the milk and mix well with other things.
