Deep Sea Exploration—The “Inner Space”
Deep sea exploration is often called the “final frontier” on Earth, just like outer space. For thousands of years, humans have looked down into the ocean and wondered what lies in its dark depths. Ancient stories told of huge sea monsters and hidden cities under the waves, but modern science has shown us the real wonders of the deep.
The deepest point on Earth is the Mariana Trench, about 11 kilometres below the surface. The water pressure is more than 1,000 times the pressure at sea level. Only a few manned submersibles have ever reached this spot. One of the most famous is Limiting Factor, which can carry two people to the deepest parts of the ocean. It is built to stand the huge pressure of the deep sea.
However, deep sea travel is full of challenges for humans. The journey to the Mariana Trench takes hours, and divers must deal with cold, darkness, and the risk of pressure changes. Food, oxygen, and communication are also big problems. Even sending a message from the deep sea to the surface can take minutes.
Scientists are still hopeful about the future of deep sea exploration. New technologies, like underwater robots and better life-support systems, are being developed. With countries and researchers working together, we may one day
uncover more of the ocean's secrets, just as we hope to reach the stars.

1. Paragraph 1核心是人类长久以来对深海的好奇,匹配选项B;
2. Paragraph 2核心是仅少数潜水器到达海洋最深点,匹配选项D;
3. Paragraph 3核心是深海旅行对人类的挑战,匹配选项A;
4. Paragraph 4核心是新技术与合作为未来探索带来希望,匹配选项C;故顺序为BDAC。
B. 判断正误:
1. 题干称深海被称为“最终边疆”是因为比太空旅行容易,原文未提及“比太空容易”,故为F;
2. 题干称马里亚纳海沟约11公里深,与原文一致,故为T;
3. 题干称Limiting Factor可载3人,原文为载2人,故为F;
4. 题干称马里亚纳海沟压力超海平面1000倍,与原文一致,故为T;
5. 题干称从深海发消息到海面很快,原文称需几分钟,故为F;故答案为FTFTF。
