This year, I joined it for the first time. I was amazed by how much of a difference these simple acts could make. As I planted trees, I hoped they would grow taller. When I read storybooks to children, I was happy to see the children's eyes filled with joy. And as I helped clean the park, I realised how important it was to have a clean environment for everyone.
I've learnt that volunteering is necessary because it brings people together and helps build a stronger community. Volunteering allows people to share their skills and time, creating positive changes and making a lasting influence.
Furthermore, volunteering teaches us important values like kindness and responsibility. It reminds us of the power each person holds to make a difference, no matter how big or small. Through volunteering, people learn to value what they have and behave kindly to others. I understood that without volunteering, these positive changes would not be possible.
It was a meaningful day for me and I knew that my new life would begin.
