Our solar system has eight planets, all of which orbit(围绕……运动) the Sun. We can divide them into two groups based on their distance from the Sun and their materials. The inner planets are near the Sun, and the outer planets are far away.
The inner four planets are Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars. Mercury is fast—it orbits the Sun faster than any other planet. Venus is hot and has a thick atmosphere. Earth has a natural satellite, the Moon, which goes around it. Mars has two small moons, Phobos(火卫一) and Deimos(火卫二).
The outer four planets are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Jupiter is a gas giant with a big red spot, which is a huge storm. Saturn’s rings are one of the most beautiful sights in space. Uranus is unique because it lies on its side as it moves. Neptune is the last planet and has strong winds that can reach over 2,000 kilometres per hour. Every time we learn new facts about these planets, we fall more in love with space.

A. Has a big red spot.
B. Orbits the Sun fastest.
C. Has the Moon as its satellite.
(
)1. How many moons does Mars have?
A. One.
B. Two.
C. Three.
(
)2. What is Jupiter’s big red spot?
A. A lake.
B. A mountain.
C. A huge storm.
(
)3. Which planet lies on its side when moving?
A. Uranus.
B. Neptune.
C. Saturn.
(
)1. Mars has two big moons.
(
)2. Neptune has very strong winds.
(
)3. Saturn’s rings are not easy to see.

答案

任务一:Mercury对应B;Earth对应C;Jupiter对应A

任务一:Mercury对应B;Earth对应C;Jupiter对应A;任务二:1.B 2.C 3.A;任务三:1.F 2.T 3.F
