There were two wolves. One was white, and the other was grey. The white wolf was looking for something. They came to a river. It was still frozen. The grey wolf wanted to come into the cave, but the white one stopped him. He was hungry, and he went off to hunt. When he returned, he heard noises inside. The white wolf had five wolf cubs(幼崽). She was afraid the grey wolf would eat them, so she stopped him from entering the cave.
The grey wolf was kind. He knew he had to find food for them. He came to the riverbank. A large water bird was standing there. The grey wolf caught it. He was so hungry that he wanted to eat it. But he remembered the white wolf and her cubs in the cave. They needed food. He picked up the dead bird and began to carry it to the cave.
The white wolf was sleeping with her cubs. The grey one stood at the opening of the cave. He told the white one that he had taken something for them to eat. The mother wolf was so thankful that she let him come in. She knew he wouldn't eat the cubs. She knew he would take care of her and her family.
