But these plants and animals don't live alone. They depend on each other in a web of life called an ecosystem.
Every living thing plays a role in this network. For example, bees and butterflies are very important for pollination(传粉). They carry pollen(花粉) from flower to flower. Other small living things, like mushrooms, help to break down dead plants and animals, cleaning the forest and making the soil rich.
