Exploring space helps us learn more about other planets
and stars. We can learn how they work. With this knowledge, we can understand more about Earth too.
A Chinese explorer, Zhurong, found something amazing on Mars—it found signs of water on the red planet! It is an amazing discovery because without water, it is hard for anything to live. And the signs of water on Mars, without doubt, raise the possibility that there may be living things on it.
Zhurong has been working on Mars since it arrived there on 15 May 2021. The machine has collected a lot of information about the planet. In 2023, Zhurong detected signs of water that had been on Mars.
This discovery is very important because it means that there might still be water on Mars today. And if there is water there, it's possible that some kind of living thing can survive(生存). Scientists are still trying to find out what life forms might survive on Mars with water. Some of them are asking whether there are more planets with water in our solar system. And if scientists can find other planets with water, it might lead to the discovery of new forms of life.
