A mother shared a touching friendship story on the internet between her autistic(自闭的) son and a little girl. She wrote the story like this:
There's a little girl called Emma in my son Nicholas's class. They like to play outside together and sit with each other. You may think this is a usual friendship story. But this is different.
When Nicholas has classes or plays with other kids, Emma always sits by him.
She talks to him even though he can't talk back. She knows he thinks and does things a little slower than other kids. She still likes being with him anyway. Nicholas really enjoys staying with her too.
Now they have to do online learning at home. However, he still gets excited when he sees Emma on the computer. He knows who she is and understands she's his friend. He even made a card for her on her birthday.
As a mother of a child with special needs, it really touches my heart to see somebody accept my son for who he is. Nicholas is so lucky to have such a true friendship with this lovely kind girl. I really want to give thanks to Emma because she has given me hope for my son's future.
