There was a boy called Jack. He loved to play with a big apple tree. But when he grew up, he didn't play around the tree any more.
One day, the boy came back to the tree and said, "I need a house. Can you help me?" "You can cut off my branches to build a house."
Then the boy cut off all the branches of the tree and left happily. The tree was sad.
Some years later, the boy came back again and said sadly," I want to go sailing. But I don't have a boat." "Oh, my dear. You can use my trunk to make a boat."
So the boy made a boat with the trunk and left happily without a word of thanks to the tree.
