三、阅读表达。
阅读下面短文,简略回答问题。
Dear graduates,
Today is a special day. It marks the end of your middle-school journey and the start of a new one. You've all put in a lot of effort to get here, and you should be proud of your own achievements.
As you step into the future, I want to talk about something that might surprise you: failure. Usually, we're afraid of failure, but it's not really bad. Failure isn't the opposite of success. In fact, it's a part of success.
I encourage you to fail. Take chances, try new things, and challenge yourself. When you
struggle(奋斗) and don't succeed right away, you can also learn a lot about yourself. For example, Lu Yao's Ordinary World was refused by several publishers before it was published. Steve Jobs was fired from the company he started. Michael Jordan was once expelled(开除) from his high-school basketball team. They didn't give up because of failure. Instead, failure made them better.
Also, success means different things to different people. Don't follow what society says success should be. Find what makes you truly happy, what gives you a sense of fulfillment(成就感), and what lets you help others. That should depend on yourselves.
Graduates, you are stepping into a future full of chances. Hug them. Create them. And keep in mind, every failure is just a stepping stone on your path to success—your success, defined by you.
Congratulations, you all. The future is waiting for you. Go out there and fail wonderfully—and then get back up and succeed even more wonderfully.
24. What does the speaker think failure is to success?
25. Why does the speaker mention Lu Yao, Jobs and Jordan in Paragraph 3?
26. According to the speaker, what is your own success?
27. What does the underlined word "that" in Paragraph 4 mean?
28. What do you think of failure and success? (Within 40 words.)
