Do you know what an American high school is like? A typical(典型的) American high school has several buildings and enough space for students. There are a lot of trees and ★ in every school,so the school looks like a park with nice scenery(风景).

Every day, students take six or seven classes. They must study science, maths, English and social studies. They can choose from art, homemaking, fashion design and other classes. They move to different classrooms for each subject. That's because every teacher has his or her classroom. There is a five-minute break between classes to give the students the time to hurry to(赶往) their next class. The regular school day usually ends early in the afternoon.
After school, more than half of the students are involved in after-school activities. These activities include(包括) clubs and sports, especially basketball,baseball and football. Each can bring them much fun and happiness.
