Last Sunday, my parents and I had a special dinner at a new restaurant. When we walked in, the restaurant looked very clean and beautiful. Soft music was playing, and the waiters were very friendly.
The menu had many kinds of food. We decided to try some traditional Chinese dishes. First, we ordered Mapo Tofu. It looked red and smelled spicy. My mom loves spicy food, so she was very excited. Then we had Gongbao Chicken. The chicken pieces were mixed with peanuts（坚果）and vegetables. It tasted sweet and a little bit spicy.
The most amazing dish was Beijing Roast Duck. The waiter brought a whole duck to our table first. Then he skillfully cut the duck into thin pieces in front of us. He told us to eat the duck with thin pancakes, green onions, and a special kind of sauce（调味汁）. When I put a piece of duck with some onions and sauce in a pancake and ate it, I couldn't help saying, “What a delicious meal!”
After the main dishes, we had some dumplings. They were filled with meat and vegetables. My dad said they were as good as the ones my grandmother made.
We all enjoyed the dinner very much. I think I will ask my parents to take me there again next time.
