热考素材 时事热点 Many lawmakers(立法者) say we must watch closely how too much dependence on AI influences students. It can be bad for the healthy development of their thinking and social skills.

Many students use AI to do their homework. They trust AI blindly, and some even become addicted(沉迷于……的) to AI chat tools. This bad habit stops them from developing their own abilities day by day. Parents, schools and the government(政府) should care about this problem. We should help students use this important technology in a correct and safe way.
Gou Xinglong is a vice-president(副校长) of a college and also a national lawmaker. He says college students use AI wrongly more and more frequently. They use AI to finish schoolwork, such as writing articles, lab reports, surveys, computer programs, designs and videos.
Some students turn to AI right away when they meet problems. It may seem that they have learned a lot, but they do not really understand the knowledge. They do not think, explore or try by themselves. Without AI, they find it hard to solve(解决) problems on their own.
Gou says this will make students weaker in independent thinking, problem-solving and creativity. They will find it hard to fit into real work after graduation. It also leads to dishonest(不诚实的) schoolwork and is unfair(不公平的) to other students.
AI information is not always true, correct or reliable(可靠的). It can even contain mistakes and improper ideas. Gou suggests that we should use AI only as a helper for thinking.
