二、阅读理解
根据短文内容,从题中所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出最佳选项。
What's your opinion about pressure? Do you think pressure is good or bad? Different people have different opinions.
Lots of students say that pressure is bad for them sometimes. Take a teenage boy from a middle school as an example. He was under too much pressure from school and his family. In the end, he decided to give up studying. In our daily life, we often hear news that some people ask for help from psychologists (心理学家) because of high working pressure. It is no wonder that people treat pressure as a dangerous wolf(狼).
However, not everyone thinks this way. Other students think pressure can help us do better. For example, students often feel stressed before the final exam. This stress can make them review their lessons more carefully. As a result, they may get better grades in the exam. In this way, pressure helps us reach our goals. When I was young, my mom always told me to study hard. She wanted me to go to a good college(大学). I was from a poor family, and I knew life was hard for me. Mom just expected me to live a better life in the future. Just as the old saying goes, "No pains, no gains." I didn't want to make my mom disappointed, so I tried my best. At last, I got into a good college. From my story, you can see pressure isn't bad at all.
In short, pressure isn't always good or bad. The most important thing is how we face it and deal with it.
