Now Liang uses different kinds of plants to make natural dyes(染料). She then chooses plump(饱满的), shiny grains, soaks them in the dyes and cooks them over a wood fire. This keeps the rice healthy, delicious and eco-friendly.
Liang's work starts at 6 a.m. and finishes at 2 a.m. the next day during festival time. To let more people know about the dish, she shares how to make it online every day. Liang sells over 600 kilos of colourful sticky rice a year. She is busy but happy.
As for the future, Liang plans to build her own brand. She says, "I want people to get a taste of the countryside when they try the dish."
