先明确各短语含义:show interest in(对……感兴趣)、move on(继续;换话题)、find out(查明;弄清楚)、argue with(和……争论)、pay attention to(注意)、be yourself(做你自己);2.
情态动词should后接动词原形,结合语境选pay attention to,故填pay attention to。
由时间状语when she was in junior high school可知用一般过去时,show的过去式为showed,结合语境选showed interest in,故填showed interest in。
由时间状语last weekend可知用一般过去时,find的过去式为found,结合语境选found out,故填found out。
固定搭配let sb do sth(让某人做某事)后接动词原形,结合语境选move on,故填move on。
不定式符号to后接动词原形,结合语境选be yourself,故填be yourself。
1. pay attention to 2. showed interest in 3. found out 4. move on 5. be yourself 6. argued with

If a friend does us a big favour, it's a good idea to write him or her a thank-you note. But how many of us can take the time to do this?
"People don't seem to give thanks quite often," said Kumar from the University of Texas. Why are people uncertain about sending thank-you notes? And how do people feel when they receive one?
Kumar and his team asked some students to send a thank-you note to others by email. Then, they asked both the writers and the recipients how sending or receiving a note made them feel.
They found that the students didn't like to write the notes and they worried about what to say and how to say it. The receivers, however, enjoyed the note. "When you are a receiver, you can feel the warmth of the note," Ben, one of the receivers, said.
The writers also thought it might be embarrassing(尴尬的)for the receivers to get a thank-you note, but this was not true. "The receivers feel quite happy," Kumar said.
"Simple and small changes in our everyday life can make a big difference to others' feelings, so start by writing a thank-you note," Kumar said.
