Two years ago, I read a book about places of interest in Hunan. I couldn't wait to visit the Yueyang Tower. I was always busy working, but I made my dream come true last weekend.
The Yueyang Tower, which lies on the west bank of the Dongting Lake in Yueyang City, is one of the three most popular towers in southern China. It is famous for its special design and amazing views of the Dongting Lake. It has three floors and each has exquisite carving（精致的雕刻）and beautiful paintings. The top floor is the main viewing area. Visitors can see the whole lake and surrounding landscape on a clear day.

（诗人）like Li Bai, Du Fu and Fan Zhongyan wrote famous works when they were visiting the tower. Among them, "Be the first to worry about the nation's troubles and the last to enjoy its happiness" moved me most.
Walking beside the Dongting Lake, climbing up the Yueyang Tower, feeling the life through the famous works, I forgot everything and felt relaxed. If you are tired, just have a day off to enjoy yourself. You will find a place like the Yueyang Tower.
