B
This is my daughter’s school in Bali. Unlike most schools around the world, the lessons here are all about saving the planet. The children spend a lot of their learning time outdoors.
I first learnt about the Green School during a holiday in Bali. I loved the idea of letting my daughter,Kitty, experience a green lifestyle. I wanted her to learn more than just English and maths.
The school was set up by John Hardy and his wife,Cynthia. John once explained to me how he believed we could all live greener. “People worldwide are learning how to be green, but in environmentally unfriendly environments,” he said,“Green School kids are learning the same things, but they are also living it.”
The school uses compostable(可制成堆肥的)toilets. Electricity comes from solar panels(太阳能电池板). Cooking is done with ingredients from the school and nearby farms. The school bus runs on used cooking oil. The oil is collected by students from local restaurants. Students between the ages of three and twelve mainly learn maths and reading, but other than these basic skills, the school helps students develop environmental awareness and problem-solving abilities through various projects. At the end of the day, there is no homework for my daughter to put into her backpack. There are only materials for after-school outdoor activities.
The school is expensive. It costs much more to learn at the school than at Kitty’s old school in London. But Kitty is growing up in a way she could never have done at home. As Kitty’s father,I think I’ve made a wise decision for her.

31题:A选项与第一段“Unlike most schools around the world”矛盾;B选项与第五段“Green School比伦敦旧学校贵”矛盾;C选项与第三段“学校由John和妻子建立”矛盾;D选项与第五段“作者称自己的决定是明智的”一致,对应选项D。
