Which animal has the stripes(条纹) of a zebra,the body of a horse and the head of a giraffe? An okapi(霍加狓)! They mostly live in the east of Africa.
Hidden(隐藏的) animals
Okapis' special stripes make them hard to be seen by other animals and people in the forest. No two okapis have the same stripes. People didn't know they were real until 1901.
Special sounds
Okapis talk to each other in a way people can't hear,called infrasound(次声波). That's another reason why it's difficult to find them in the forest.
Endangered(濒危的)animals
There are only about 30,000 okapis left in the world. People are cutting down trees and hurting them. To protect them,we should call on more people to join in protection activities.
