We put on our raincoats and stepped out of the house. It was still raining heavily, and the water was almost up to my knees. We moved slowly in the water. Unluckily, Mum's handbag was washed away by the running water, and I nearly fell into the deep water beside the road. When we got to the main road, we saw many people moving to safe higher places, and some firefighters were helping old and little kids leave the flooded buildings. Finally, we took a taxi to my uncle's home to stay for the rest of the day.
After the flood went away, we went back home. Many of our things were wet, but we felt so lucky that all of our family were safe.
