六、阅读理解
(2025 无锡澄要片期中)Classrooms are around a garden. Insects(昆虫) can live in the walls of the classrooms. . . If you could design your ideal school, what would it look like? What would you have in it?
Children at the Reggio School in Madrid of Spain turned their dream school into a real one. The designer Andrés Jaque wanted to build a different school. First, he talked to many children, teachers and parents about their ideas. The parents wanted things that could help with the children’s imagination(想象力). They also wanted their children to show interest in learning, as interest is the best teacher. The children hoped for things such as gardens or a school with no walls.
Then the building work began. The school principal, the teachers and parents all worked together with Jaque to build the school. “When we dream together, we can do amazing things!” said the school principal Eva Martín. She calls the four-year project a wonderful “journey”.
The school “grows” with the children. Small children start on the ground floor with a playground. Bigger children move higher up in the school. There is a special reading area outside the library. The top floors have classrooms around a green garden. Some small animals like birds live in it. There are also science labs with big windows. The windows look like big eyes and the walls are home to some insects.
1. What does the school principal think of the new school?
A. It is amazing.
B. It is not strong.
C. It should be taller.
D. It took too much time to build.
2. Where do the senior(高年级) students have classes?
A. In the library.
B. In the garden.
C. On the ground floor.
D. On the top floor.
3. What is Paragraph 4 mainly about?
A. How the animals live.
B. What the school is like.
C. Where the garden is.
D. What the designer plans to do.
