On December 14, 2025, 90 international (国际的) volunteers from all over the world met at the Shanghai Blood (血液) Center. They joined a blood donation (捐赠) event.
The volunteers came from many different countries. They put on a wonderful cultural performance. The event was lively and joyful. It wanted to tell people that blood donation is important.
Ashish Maskay is the founder of "Bloodline". He is a Nepalese doctor and has worked in Shanghai for more than 20 years. On that day, he donated blood for the 60th time. *Since 2017, thousands of foreigners have joined his group to donate blood.
Dennis is one of them. He works at the German School Shanghai and has lived in this city for 7 years. He said, "I think this is the right thing. It's a good way to give back to the community. There are always people who need blood. Maybe one day, someone around me or I myself will need it, too."
