①The internet is very popular with young people nowadays. They think that the internet has brought them many advantages(益处). In my opinion, the internet affects young people not only in a positive way, but also in a negative way.
②There is no doubt that the internet has a good effect on widening young people's knowledge. It keeps everyone knowledgeable. In just a few minutes each day, people can get the most recent news. Moreover, more and more young people are using the internet to look for information to help them in their work or studies. They can also learn a lot about culture and history on the internet.
③On the other hand, the internet also has bad influences(影响) on young people. Firstly, the overuse of computers can bring about bad physical side effects. It will do harm to people's eyes to sit in front of a computer for a long time without a break. Other health problems, such as stomachache, headache and back pain, also happen quite easily to those who spend too much time on computers. Furthermore, the internet seems to separate(分离) young people from the real world. Although they are usually familiar with current affairs, their face-to-face communication skills are very poor. They communicate with other people online instead of going out with their family or meeting friends. Therefore, young people can show a lack of common sense in relationships or have difficulty communicating in the real world. In addition, a lot of websites are not good for teenagers. For example, some websites include unhealthy videos that should be deleted(删除).
④In conclusion, besides helping young people to increase their knowledge, the internet may also bring in some bad results. While the advantages seem to fill all the needs, the disadvantages also need the same attention. The young really need guidance on how to use the internet.
