A conflict with my best friend
Last term, I had a conflict with my best friend, Li Ming. We were in the same group for a science project. He wanted to design the poster, but I thought I was better at drawing. I wanted to do the presentation, but he insisted he was more confident speaking in public. We argued loudly and stopped talking for three days.
Later, our teacher noticed our coldness and asked us to have a talk. I told Li Ming I felt ignored when he didn’t listen to my ideas. He admitted he was too stubborn and didn’t consider my feelings. We decided to work together: he helped improve my drawing for the poster, and I practiced the presentation with his advice. Finally, our project won first prize.
This conflict taught me that communication is the key to solving problems. Since then, Li Ming and I have become better at understanding each other.
