What is school life like in Hong Kong? You may think the school life there is quite different from yours. Is that true? Let’s have a look.
Morning reading (8:40～9:10)
Every morning from 8:40, the students in Hong Kong read books. If it is Monday, they usually have a flag-raising ceremony. They sing the national anthem (国歌) in front of the flag.
First class～fourth class (9:10～12:15)
Most of the classes are like yours. They have Chinese, Maths and English classes every day. They also have many other interesting classes. One of their favorites is computer class. They can learn programming (编程) to make easy games or even music. The most difficult class is art. They don’t just learn drawing. They also learn about architecture and design. Sometimes their homework is to make a city with paper!

They have lunch in the classroom, and then they can sleep for half an hour.
Fifth class～Sixth class (14:00～15:40)
They have P.E. classes twice a week. Like you, they also need to practice rope skipping (跳绳). Most schools have sports meetings every year.
School is over at 15:40.
