We are asking for help because of the terrible floods in Libya.
On Sunday, 10 September, 2023, a big storm hit the northeast part of Libya. It brought strong winds and very heavy rain. This caused sudden and very bad floods. The floods were so strong that they were like huge waves, and they destroyed everything in their way.
In the city of Derna, two dams(大坝) were broken, and the three-metre-high floodwaters destroyed the whole neighbourhoods. Thousands of people died, and bridges, buildings, and important things like roads were badly damaged(损坏).
The eastern cities of Benghazi, Sousa, and Al Marj also had big floods like Derna and need help quickly. People really need our help right now. If you can, please make a donation(捐赠) today.
