My Hero — Yuan Longping
Yuan Longping is one of the most famous great scientists in China. He was born in Beijing in 1930 and left us forever in 2021. People also call him "the Father of Hybrid Rice".
When he was young, he saw lots of people lose their lives because of hunger. Then he made up his mind to develop new rice to help people get enough food. He spent almost all his lifetime doing research on hybrid rice. At last, he succeeded, and his hybrid rice can produce much more grain than common rice.
