Reading is an amazing and fantastic experience that only belongs to humans. Just by looking at words on a page, we can travel across time and space in our mind. We can walk in the shoes of people who lived thousands of years ago. We can make friends with the characters in books.
But let's be real. Reading can be hard. That's true when we're tired, bored or faced with difficult words and ideas. Also, reading can be much harder for some than for others. Luckily, scientists have given us some advice on how to make reading easier. By following the advice, reading can be an even better experience.
