Name: Li Ming
Age: 14
Class & Grade: Class 2, Grade 8
1. The activity that excites me most is looking for and observing different kinds of wild plants and taking close-up photos of them.
2. I would choose the nearby forest wetland park, because there are both dense woods and shallow marshes that hide lots of special creatures.
3. I have always wanted to learn more about how fireflies complete their whole life cycle from larvae to adults in the wild.
4. I hope the activity can last for a whole day, from 8 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon, so we have enough time to explore without rushing.
5. A portable magnifying glass, a mini field guide to local wild animals and plants, and a disposable specimen collection box will make the activity much more interesting.
6. I prefer to explore in small groups of 3 to 4 people, so we can take care of each other and share interesting new findings in time.
7. I worry that some unfamiliar small insects in the wild may sting us, and we may accidentally get lost in the dense woods.
8. I will use my tablet to shoot short videos and take clear photos of the special creatures I find, and I will also write down their features and the time I find them in my nature notebook.
9. I feel most comfortable being outdoors from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., when the temperature is pleasant and the sunlight is soft, not too hot or too cold.
10. I hope the school can invite a professional biology teacher to be our guide during the activity, who can explain the little knowledge of nature we encounter on the spot. It would also be great if we could have a simple picnic with homemade food at the end of the exploration.
