The most famous food in Shanxi is noodles. I was told that there are more than 100 kinds of different noodles, with lots of different seasonings (调料). When you enjoy the noodles, the restaurant owner will also bring a big scoop with water to your table. It is not water anyway, it is pure noodle soup, and people like to drink this type of soup after the meal. Do not be surprised; just drink it like other Chinese people do.
—Tom, an American tourist
The program is not only about dishes, but there are also some different people in
every episode (集). They will tell you the stories about the food.
