Baiyun Park Station on Line 2 is near Guangzhou Children's Park. Many children often come here. So Guangzhou Metro has a new special passage (通道) for children at Baiyun Park Station. It is bright and colourful, and different from usual passages. *Children under 1.3 metres can take the subway for free and go through the gate without swiping (刷) a card.
This passage is always open. There is a low arch (拱门) with YOYO cartoon stickers and a height sign on it. There are also clear signs and colourful floor pictures to guide children. It makes travelling much easier for families with kids.
Some stations, such as Baiyun Park, Yunxiao Road and Zoo Station, have special facilities (设施) and fun signs for children. The metro network in Guangzhou also has 258 nursing rooms and 188 family toilets.
In the future, Guangzhou Metro may bring this service (服务) to other stations. More children will enjoy the nice service. How thoughtful it is!
