I was born with a physical disability. Three of my fingers on my left hand are very small. It is hard for me to hold things. In my first school, the kids would laugh at me about my hand almost every day. I used to go home and tell my mum the situation and cry. My mum would meet with my teachers to try to solve it, but it didn't help. And I had no friends. I didn't want to go to school any more.
Then my mum's friend suggested a new school for us. It was smaller. At first I thought the kids might laugh at me. I would pull the sleeves (袖子) of my sweater down to hide my hand.
It was hard but I tried my best. When I was upset, my teachers always asked, "My boy, what's wrong? Can I talk to you?" They helped me express myself in words instead of going away.
A few weeks later, I told the kids, "I've been laughed at a lot" and I showed them my hand. They asked me what happened. I told them, "I was born this way." They didn't laugh at me and made friends with me.
I just wanted people to be kind to me and I wanted friends. I have that now. I study and play with them. When I'm having a bad day, they say, "Keep your head up and don't give up."
I am happy that I came to the new school. I thank all the people for their kindness. With their encouragement, I can face any difficulty in life bravely now.
