I woke up this morning, not feeling very well. My head hurt, and my eyes felt like glue. There was green stuff（东西）in my nose. I was sure I was sick.
My mum came in to wake me up. "Time to get out of bed, sweet pea," she leaned across the bed and spoke softly in my ear.
I nodded. I tried to smile, but my mouth was not working.
"Are you okay?" my mum asked.
I gave her sad eyes. I was feeling cold and had a terrible sore throat. My mouth opened, but nothing came out. I lost my voice!
"My dear girl, what is the matter with you? You do not look well. I think something is very wrong."
I shook my head. Grabbing（抓）a pencil, I wrote her a note. This is what it said.
Mum laughed. She sat on my bed. She laughed again. "What is so funny?" I wrote.
"I guess it is time to go to see the doctor. It looks like the cat has got your tongue!" she said. We both smiled.
