Sports are my favourite thing in my free time, and playing badminton with my family is the happiest time. My parents and I all love sports, so we make a rule: every Saturday morning, we go to the community sports park to play badminton together. It’s only a 10-minute walk from our home, so it’s very convenient for us.
We usually take a light blue badminton racket for me, a black one for my dad, a pink one for my mum, and two soft shuttlecocks(羽毛球) in case they fly away. At first, I am not good at playing. I often miss the shuttlecock and feel a little upset(沮丧的). But my dad always teaches me how to hold the racket and hit the ball, and my mum cheers me up every time I make a little progress.
After two months of practising, I can play very well now. Sometimes I even
beat my mum in the game. When we are tired, we sit on the bench under the big tree, drink cold water and talk about interesting things. The park is always full of people doing sports—some run along the path, some play basketball, and some dance. Seeing everyone full of energy makes me love sports even more.
Doing sports with family not only makes my body strong, but also helps us spend more happy time together. It’s such a great thing, and I hope we can keep this good habit forever!
