Ye Jiaying, also known as "Poetry's Daughter", passed away on November 24, 2024, at the age of 100. Ye was famous for creating, studying and teaching the beautiful art of Chinese poetry.
"In my view, studying classical Chinese poetry can help me feel deeply, imagine widely, and look far into the future," Ye once said. "The study of poetry is not a goal that I go for, but strength that supports me when I meet difficulties," she wrote at age 87.
Ye was born to a family of intellectuals(知识分子) in Beijing in 1924. She learned classical poetry and English from a young age. However, Ye's life was filled with sadness. She lost her mother when she was only 17 years old, and her eldest daughter died when Ye reached middle age. But she never gave up. In college, she studied poetry from the Tang and Song dynasties with a famous master of Chinese literature, Gu Sui, who greatly influenced her.
In the 1950s and 1960s, she taught at universities in Taiwan. Then, she moved to Canada in 1969. In 1979, she started giving free lectures on the Chinese mainland during the holidays. In 2018 and 2019, she donated all her money, about 35.68 million yuan, to Nankai University. She was given the Touching China Award in 2020.
At 92, she picked 218 ancient poems for kids and made videos to explain and read them. Even at 96, she gave talks at Nankai University, sitting in a wheelchair. Those who listened to her lectures said she made it easy to understand poetry and guided students to learn step by step.
Dai Jinhua, a woman professor of Chinese literature at Peking University, once said, "It is Ye who makes me see the wisdom of a teacher and encourages me to become one."

答案
【语篇解读】本文是一篇记叙文。文章主要讲述了“诗词的女儿”叶嘉莹的一生。
1. B 段落大意题。根据第二段“In my view, studying classical Chinese poetry can help me feel deeply, imagine widely, and look far into the future”以及“The study of poetry is not a goal that I go for, but strength that supports me when I meet difficulties”可知,这些内容主要是在阐述她对学习中国古典诗歌的看法和感受,强调了学习诗歌对她个人情感、想象力和眼界的影响,对她是一种精神上的支持。据此可以推断,该段主要讨论了叶嘉莹为什么学习中国诗歌。故选B。
2. D 事件排序题。根据第三段“In college, she studied poetry from the Tang and Song dynasties with a famous master of Chinese literature, Gu Sui”可知,叶嘉莹在大学期间跟随顾随学习诗词,b排第一;根据第四段“Then, she moved to Canada in 1969.”可知,她在1969年搬到加拿大,a排第二;根据第五段“At 92, she picked 218 ancient poems for kids and made videos to explain and read them.”可知,在92岁时,她为孩子们挑选古诗词并制作视频解释和朗诵,这应该是在2016年,e排第三;根据第四段“In 2018 and 2019, she donated all her money ... to Nankai University.”可知,在2018年和2019年,她将钱捐给了南开大学,d排第四;根据第四段“She was given the Touching China Award in 2020.”可知,她在2020年获得了感动中国年度人物奖,c排第五,所以正确的顺序是b-a-e-d-c。故选D。
3. C 推理判断题。根据最后一段“It is Ye who makes me see the wisdom of a teacher and encourages me to become one.”
故选A。
