Nowadays many people get in touch with their friends by sending a text or making a call.
Scientists asked 200 people to reconnect（重新联系）with their old friends either through a text or a call. Most of them chose to send a text. Mr Smith said, “I think making a call is embarrassing（尴尬的）for old friends who haven’t been in touch for a long time.” Mrs Brown told the scientists that she liked sending a text because she could have more control（控制）.
