Classroom rules are important for students. With the rules, students know how to behave(表现) at school. So they need to know about the rules at the beginning of a new term.
Usually schools and teachers make the rules. But some classes try a different way. 43 students of Class 12, Grade 7 in Wuhan No. 6 Middle School made their classroom rules. Each student wrote down the rules. They were sure the rules could help make their class a good one. Then they talked about the rules. The rule-making activity lasted about a month. Finally the class had 30 rules. And then the rule-makers wrote down their names on the rule poster(海报). After that, they put up the poster on the wall. “Be polite and helpful” “No phone calls in class” and “Don’t litter” were three examples.
The rules worked well in the class because students thought they were the rule-makers and they had to follow them.
