Chaka Salt Lake is in Qinghai Province. It sits at an altitude of about 3,100 metres and covers an area of 105 square kilometres. It is rich in salt with a heavy salt bed close to the lake surface. That makes the lake a main source of salt in China. When the weather is clear, the lake provides beautiful reflections of the blue sky. That is why people call it a "Sky Mirror".
