"I worked for about nine hours at the clothes shop today," Monkey said before she drank her coffee.
"I'm busy too," Mrs Duck said. "The hospital is full of patients (病人)."
"Yeah, I am now working two jobs," Chicken shouted.
Mama Cow started to feel like she wanted to hide (藏) under the table because she didn't have a job like them, but Mama Cow liked staying at home. She felt happy when her family said they loved her. Her son Moopers said she was the best storyteller (讲故事的人), and her daughter Bertha said she was the best cook.
"What about you?" Monkey asked her.
"Well..." Mama Cow started, "oh no! Is that a fly (苍蝇) in my tea?" She tried to find an excuse (借口). "I will be right back, ladies. Let me get a new drink."
Mama Cow got another drink from Sheep.
"Aren't you Bertha's mum?" Sheep asked.
"Yes, I am."
"Bertha keeps telling us how lucky she is. She also lets me try your yummy sugar cookies. My mum travels a lot for work, so we only spend 2 hours together a week. I wish I had a mother like you. I can't wait to taste your cookies!" All the other animals came over and said together, "We all want to taste your cookies!" "You're all welcome to come over any time," Mama Cow said, feeling touched (感动的). All of them came on Saturday. They were thankful and had a lovely time. Now Mama Cow thinks that being a stay - at - home mum is the best job of all.
