5-year-old boy lives in Lhasa, Xizang. His finger was cut off by accident. He needed an operation. So, he had to fly to Chengdu quickly. Xizang Airport and airline workers helped him a lot. Xizang Daily reported on Wednesday.
It happened on Monday.
At 8 pm, the last flight from Lhasa to Chengdu was ready to take off. The airport got a call for help. It was from the child's father, Bu Chime.
The family had no tickets or necessary papers. They hurried to the airport. They must race against the clock to save the child's finger in 4 hours.
So, different airport departments quickly worked together. At 8:44 pm, Bu Chime carried the child into the airport terminal (航站楼). They helped Bu Chime and the child finish all the steps. It took only 15 minutes for them to successfully get on the plane.
Also, Xizang Airport talked with Chengdu Airport. They made sure an ambulance was ready at the airport. The ambulance would take the child to the hospital right after landing.
Bu Chime said, "*The trip from Lhasa to Chengdu is long, but the airport workers made me feel warm. I know my child's finger is saved."
