Dear Wang Yan,
Today is the Spring Festival. It is a great day for my family. My grandparents will come to our house and enjoy hot pot together with us. So Li Lei and I are busy. We help Mum get ready for the dinner. We feel so happy because this is our first time to help make dinner. We can learn many things from Mum.
At 5:30 p.m., we take out the vegetables, fish and meat from the fridge. Before we wash the food, Mum teaches us about different parts of a fish. After the short lesson, Li Lei washes the vegetables图and I wash the fish and meat. Then we wash the plates, bowls, chopsticks and spoons, and put them on the dining table. Finally Mum cooks the soup for the hot pot. Everything gets ready at 6:30 p.m.
At 7:00 p.m., my grandparents get to our house. Li Lei and I say “Happy New Year” to them, and each of us gets a red packet from them. After dinner, we chat, tell jokes and play card games. We have great fun!
