Life in a Chinese School
The school
My name is Daniel. I'm in Grade 8. This is my second year at a middle school. We study Chinese, Maths, and English. We also have other subjects like History, Physics (物理), Art and so on. Of all the subjects, I like Maths best.
Activities
We have different clubs after school. Some clubs are for fun, such as the Guitar Club, the Chess Club and the Basketball Club. Some clubs are for study, such as the Maths Club and the Physics Club. I'm in the English Singing Club. Now I can speak English very well. On Thursday, we go to the library to read some books.
Big brothers and sisters
Boys and girls have lessons together at our school. Many new students need help to learn more about the new school. They may have problems about their new school life. They may feel better if they can talk to older students. At our school, the older students can join the Helping Hands Club. These bigger brothers and sisters talk to new students and try to help them with their problems.
We all think it is very important to help other people and we are happy at our school.
